Springtime is a wonderful time of year! The weather gets warmer, flowers start blooming, and birds and animals come back from a winter break!

Why not celebrate with some fun springtime activities? Here are some quick ideas:

• Plant some flowers or herbs and start your own mini garden! You can do this outside if you have a yard, or plant them in small clay pots or even decorated empty soup cans to keep inside.
• Go birdwatching! Look and listen to see how many different types of birds you can find! Bring a journal and even a digital camera along to record your findings! When you get back home, use a bird book or the internet to identify the birds you’ve discovered. Then using all of the information you collected, create your very own birdwatching guide!
• Play ball! Visit the park and play a game of kickball, baseball, football or any other type of ball. It’s fun and great exercise!
